	Court documents and other missives concerning the proposed demolition of eight houses on Busti Avenue to make way for an enlarged Peace Bridge plaza and new Duty Free store flew fast and furious this past week. Some as far away as to Albany.

	The election for resident commissioner for the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority was supposed to have been completed this Tuesday. Instead, the one-week election period in which the public housing residents can mail in their ballots has been extended two weeks.

	Last week, candidates running to be committeemen for the Erie County Democratic Party were out collecting signatures in their various election districts. Incumbents were working off packets supplied by the party on Thursday, June 7.
