Help Keep Occupy Buffalo Alive and Growing

At Occupy Buffalo they suffered a lot last week for their ideals—a peaceful encampment destroyed at 2am, with a terrible display of force, smashing the tents and personal effects and donated goods that made their difficult witness possible in the cold.

Loves Animals, Eats Meat

So I bit my tongue the first time that the “Scorecard” column hijacked the Niagara County SPCA issue for, lack of a better phrasing, the “activist agenda” (Artvoice v11n3: “It’s amazing how so many people can show such empathy for dogs and cats and then go home to a nice plate of beef and chicken”). However, it seems the editorial staff wasn’t content to leave it alone (Artvoice v11n5: “In unrelated news, an estimated 23 million non-cute animals in America (chickens, precisely) were killed yesterday for food”).

Ron Paul Rules

After taking the nature of your position as a professor of journalism and media studies at Buffalo State College into careful consideration, I remain unaltered in my decision to forward this article (“Getting a Grip,” Artvoice v11n5) to the appropriate channels for prosecution on the bases that the public exposure of your works extend well beyond your student base. This clear display of demagoguery not only disparages Dr. Paul and his constituents, it further encourages a demeaning stigma to his entire support network by regarding it as a group of racist pothead, corporatists.
