Following on the heels of Fela!, another successful Broadway musical is sneaking into Shea’s for a brief visit, here comes Rock of Ages, a light-hearted tongue-in-cheek sendup of 1980s pop music. This rock/jukebox show mines hit tunes from the glam metal bands of the decade, with songs from Styx, Journey, Bon Jovi, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Steve Perry, Poison, Europe, and a host of others, all strung together with a deliberately flimsy premise, and leading up to a feel-good conclusion.
