An Open Letter to Sean Ryan on the Peace Bridge

I believe your stance on the Peace Bridge is incorrect. I believe you should find a way to fold your battle flag. Negotiations with Canadian PBA members should be conducted in private, not in the press. You, my friend Mr. Hoyt, and Governor Cuomo are making asses of yourselves trying to negotiate international agreements outside of your Constitutional parameters.

There are good well respected attorneys in Western New York who have intimate knowledge of Canadian politics and I urge you to draw upon their knowledge. Mr. Thomas Schofield, who works at Magavern & Magavern, comes to mind. He has lived in Canada, served on the 1812 Bicentennial Commission, actually met Queen Elizabeth, and is a stellar negotiator with an excellent reputation in Canada.

The Peace Bridge represents longstanding peace between our two countries. Please don’t spoil it with bush-league, megalomaniacal, Democrat politics.
