The Burchfield Penney Art Center’s Art In Craft Media 2013 exhibition opened last weekend and is on view now through January 19. (See here for a review.) Each year, the Sylvia L. Rosen Endowment Purchase Award allows the Burchfield to purchase several of the show’s works for the Center’s permanent collection. This year’s winners are Hillary Fayle, The Forest Through The Trees; William Keyser, Pretzel; Scott Losi, Child Study #4; and Tina Vu, The Journey IV. This year’s winner of the annual Langley Kenzie Prize is Jesse Walp, who will as a result be given a solo show in the Burchfield’s Sylvia L. Rosen gallery.
