Excellent acting is also the feature attraction in Circle Mirror Transformation, the Annie Baker comedy at 710 Main. Scott Behrend directs Lisa Vitrano, Dave Hayes, Morgan Chard, Robert Rutland, and Kelsey George Mogensen as actors in a creative acting class. They are a treat. Vitrano is a consummate leading lady, and here channels a seemingly superficial woman who will come to reveal aching depth. On the other end of the spectrum is Mogensen, as delightful an ingénue as one could imagine, able to bring quirks and fascinating individuality to the teenage girl she plays. With deft strokes, this cast makes us feel that we know these people intimately after just one short evening.
