"Once" at Shea's

An Irish musician, dumped by his girlfriend and working as a vacuum cleaner repairman, has decided to abandon his guitar and give up music when a musically inclined Czech woman hears him play. Once, the 2012 Tony Award winning Best Musical, tours to Shea’s beginning on Tuesday.

Simply put, the play tells of the redemptive power of music and of love. On Broadway, the show proved to be the little engine that could with its simple staging and affecting story. Minimally staged, characters enter the scenes and retreat to chairs on the sidelines. We can expect the tour to be every bit as compelling as the original.
