	A Five Star Life by George Sax
	The crisply assembled montage that opens Maria Sole Tognazzi’s A Five Star Life—shots of a woman in a hotel room checking for dust and the way the bed is made—could be taken as a harbinger of what’s to come. And early on, it is. For awhile the movie seems to be delivering a smartly written and directed light comedy. Later, things become less expectable. Conflict, inner and interpersonal, is introduced, along with an increasingly poignant note.
	Duran Duran: Unstaged by M. Faust
	The bad news about this theatrical release of a 2011 concert teaming the veteran British band with filmmaker David Lynch is, sad to say, David Lynch. Having apparently given up trying to get funding for his unique but uncommercial cinematic visions, Lynch has settled into a genial career as avant garde artiste/spiritual activist/all-purpose goofball.
	Land Ho! by M. Faust
	Like The Trip minus the dueling celebrity impressions and most of the food porn, Land Ho! is a road movie about two men driving around a scenic area doing nothing in particular. Mitch (Earl Lynn Nelson) and Colin (Paul Eenhoorn) were once brothers-in-law who were always friendly but haven’t seen much of each other since divorce put Mitch in the family’s bad graces. Now that Colin’s wife has died, they renew contact and decide to take a vacation to Iceland.
