Dear Carl, About Your Stadium Plan...

Instead of crying about NYPA and whining about Albany, why not just offer to donate all the land in your ownership within that proposed area to help lessen the load on taxpayers? The Pegula’s have stepped up in a big way to keep the Bills in Buffalo, what about you? Reportedly you’ve made millions of dollars as a Buffalo property owner, much of which is leased to government entities. So some of your wealth and income derives directly from the taxpayers who fund government and pay those rents. Beyond giving back to the taxpayers who have helped you become wealthy, a stadium in this location would certainly benefit a major Buffalo area property owner like yourself, so it also makes good business sense for you.

If you truly believe this is a great idea, offer to sell all property you own in this area for $1 per acre and start the ball rolling. The less land costs to acquire for a new stadium, the lower the total cost and amount taxpayers must fund. Then we’ll know you are serious about helping reduce taxes and not just looking to line your pockets.
