FRI 5/15 What the Beck?

Nietzsche’s 9pm $10-$15

What The Beck, a 10-piece tribute group to Beck, will be performing at Nietzsche’s on Friday night. Come down to for a night of nostalgic music by one of the most significant songwriters to come out of the 90s. Big Bottle Rocket will be opening the show, performing music from Nirvana.

SAT 5/16 Steelfest 2015

Steel Plant Museum Heritage Discovery Center | 10am-5pm

The first annual Steelfest will feature local craftsmen and cultural organizations setting up tables with information and goods. Food will be provided by Lloyd Taco Truck. The new exhibit Fascinating Forms: A Patricia Layman Bazelon Retrospective will be opening during the festival.

SAT 5/16 Hamburg Music Festival

Memorial Park | 2pm | $10

This Saturday 24 bars, restaurants, and shops will host live music throughout the afternoon and evening in the Village of Hamburg. A $10 wristbands buys access to all the venues and to the main stage at Memorial Park. www.hamburgmusicfestival.com

Hip-hop veteran Kool Keith has the ability to stand out in any crowd he’s in. He’s been called strange, perverse, and even mentally insane, but perhaps he’s just wildly daring, unwavering towards any critiques though his two decades of work. On Saturday, you can see him in person as he’s set to perform live at DBGBs.

W/ The Ghost of Paul Revere

Two folk acts from Maine, the one man band Max Garcia Conover and four-piece group The Ghost of Paul Revere, have teamed up for a co-headline run across the United States. On Sunday, they’ll be making their way to Buffalo to perform at Sportsmen’s Tavern.

Waiting Room | 7pm | $10

The electronic-pop duo from Portland, Oregon will be heading to the Waiting Room on Monday night. Their music is poppy and the beats hit hard with rock elements. Kopps and Wild Things will be opening the show.
