Glory, Vol. 1: The Once and Future Destroyer

Glory is the daughter of powerful soldiers from warring races that had ravaged their dimension for millennia. Resentful of the pressure to keep the fragile peace forged by her birth, the half-breed flees.

The Sculptor

I love a great big, 500-plus-page graphic novel. I mean an authentic graphic novel, one created exclusively for that book. McCloud is the author of some key books in the lexicon of comic book fandom. His masterpiece, Zot!, ran 36 issues over the course of five years (1987-91).

The Underwater Welder

The Underwater Welder tells an eerie tale of new life and sudden death. The narrative exposes the same deep emotional issues that we all contend with every day, but wraps them all up with an interesting, paranormal twist. The story explores dramatic themes such as child abandonment, growing up with an alcoholic father and the fragile relationship between a blue-collar husband and his homebound, pregnant wife.
