Resurgence Brewing Company
Batch 108 Citra & Mosaic IPA

With a nice, yellow color and huge hop aroma, the Batch 108 Citra & Mosaic IPA will wake up your sleepy autumn palate and give your nose something to smile about. The newest from Resurgence Brewing Company is an East Coast-Style IPA similar to the big names virtually saturating the local market. Its big aroma comes on strong with pineapple and tropical notes on the nose with a slightly dank background, just grassy enough to characterize it as the kind of IPA beer nerds have come to expect from the style. With a cheery, bright golden color, cloudy character, very low malt flavor and that assertive bitterness hop heads love in “that beer from Vermont,” Batch 108 is true to the style we’re seeing out of Vermont, Maine and other breweries who love their hops huge and their caramel low. Clocking in at 6.5 ABV and 85 IBUs, it packs a punch, but notes of citrus and white grapefruit keep it balanced and flavorful enough to pair with your favorite strong cheeses and cured meats. Grab a charcuterie and relish in how the bitter intensity balances out salty ham and scrubs out any lingering fatty coating. Serve this one in a 16-ounce goblet, to allow the heady aromas to swirl over your palate and give it room to bloom.
