Thanksgiving Eve

For reasons unbeknownst to me, Thanksgiving Eve is a traditionally raucous party night, especially for Buffalonians, and this year it seems the bars are gearing up to resume this riotous ritual. Whether you’re in the mood for a hint of comedy, some folk tunes, a night of rock and roll or the chance to dance the night away—or, if like most other folks, you’re just looking to get blasted— here’s a list of events that are sure to make your Thanksgiving a fun, albeit hung-over, holiday:

Broadway Joe’s: Greg Klyma (2005’s Artvoice Best Folk/Acoustic act), now based in Austin, Texas, swings through on his fall tour at 8pm, followed by the Wakos.

Comix Café: The Buffalo Young Comedians Special II features eight of the region’s hottest rising stars in comedy, 8pm.

Club Diablo: Retro Re-takes with DJ Old Skool spinning tunes from the 70s and 80s and DJ Adrian spinning tunes from the 90s to present. DJs switch every 45 minutes, 8pm.

Merlin’s: Free show with the Roadhouse Gypsies (pictured above)and the Thermidors. Doors at 10pm.
