Ambulette

Consisting of former members of Denali, Euphone, Joan Of Arc and Pinebender, Ambulette formed in 2004 around the talented lead singer Maura Davis. Signed to the Astralwerks label shortly after, the band quickly earned rave reviews for their slow, sensual sound. With atmospheric guitars and moody beats, the music brings to mind Massive Attack, while Davis’ voice echoes the commanding presense of PJ Harvey. After receiving critical adulation for their debut EP The Lottery, Ambulette is now working on their first full length, which from all accounts promises to fulfill the ambition hinted at on their previous recording. Ambulette co headlines with The New Trust on Tuesday (March 13) at Mohawk Place. Opening the show is The Exit Strategy and Marionette, starting at 9pm
