Jacek Muzyk

Jacek Muzyk, principal horn player with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will present a recital at Canisius College’s Montante Cultural Center on Sunday (March 11) at 3pm. Raised in Poland, Muzyk excelled at piano at an early age but switched to French horn at age 18, coming to study at some of the best music schools in the US, including the Julliard in NYC. After returning to Poland and playing with Krystian Zimerman’s Polish Festival Orchestra, which was awarded a Grammy Award in 1999, Muzyk came back to the states and was soon appointed principal horn with the BPO. Muzyk will be accompanied on Sunday by award-winning Polish pianist Igor Lipinski. Adults are asked to make a $10 donation to benefit the Canisius College Student Summer Camp Program at an orphanage in Poland, no charge for children or students
