Children of the Outer Dark by Christopher Dewdney

The best work of Canadian poet Christopher Dewdney sadly remains out of print. This is particularly unfortunate given that a multitude of writers, both Canadian and international, continue to be fascinated and influenced by his writing. To this end, the new selected volume, Children of the Outer Dark, provides a valuable service by giving readers better access to much of Dewdney’s otherwise unavailable poetry.



The Last Novel by David Markson

David Markson’s most recent book, The Last Novel, was named one of “The Best Novels You’ve Never Read” by New York magazine. Constructed out of hundreds of anecdotes about and quotes by artists, composers, writers and other people of fame or infamy, the novel essentially follows a single character, Novelist, who is alone and at work on his last novel.
