Blizzard Weekend

It’s “Blizzard Weekend” (Jan. 27-28) at the Buffalo Museum of Science, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the crushing winter storm known infamously as the “Blizzard of ‘77.” In conjunction with the museum’s ongoing exhibition, Snow, the two-day event will feature interactive activities for all ages, live music, storytelling, craft-making amd more, with a special visit by Channel 2 meterologist Andy Parker. An in-depth presentation on Sunday, January 28 (the exact day the storm hit 30 years ago) begins at 2pm with a program of remembrances, true blizzard tales, archival footage and talks and discussion with storm experts including Erno Rossi (author 0f White Death: The Bilzzard of ‘77) and Tom Noziol of the US Weather Service. All programs are free with museum admission.
