A guy in Buffalo writes…

Republican political operative Roger Stone has been crowing over Spitzer’s humiliations on FOX News and saying he knew it was coming weeks in advance. He also warned coyly on Tuesday that more revelations would soon out.

But did he have a hand in Spitzer’s undoing? Stone, a saboteur whose resume reaches back into the darker corners of the Nixon White House, denies it. However, Buffalo’s premier political panderer and gossipmonger Joe Illuzzi posted this on his site on Tuesday (misspellings and peculiar punctuation are Illuzzi’s):

PoliticsNY.Net has learned from impecable sources close to former Nixon/Reagan operative, pundit Roger Stone ... Stone & his wife Nydia became friendly with a “high priced call girl” .. Her name “Kristen” ...This relationship began at a high end club in New York City some 7-8 months ago.

Our impeccable sources continued, “Kristen” confided to Stone & his wife she was in the business. She subsequently told them that one of her clients was NYS Governor Eliot Spitzer.” According to “Kristen” Spitzer engaged her at least 7-8 times over the course of the last year or more; the numbers are well over $30,000.00.

“Stone then convinced “Kristen” to go to the FBI with her story. Stone actually made the arrangements for “Kristen” to tell her story to Federal authorities.”

Stone had “no comment.”

Titillating—yes. True? We think not.
