Chameleon Project (Thursday, April 10)

Toronto-based electronic jazz dub trio the Chameleon Project comes to Nietzsche’s next Thursday (April 10) bringing what they call “jazz for the brain and groove for the soul.” Funky melodic improv is their game, a distillation of disparate influences like Roni Size, LTJ Bukem, Grant Green, Miles Davis, Chic, Parliament/Funkadelic, the Grateful Dead, Little Feat and King Tubby, just to name a few. The show is a CD Release Party for their latest album, which is full of infectious beats and dub-laced grooves. Good as the album is, the Chameleon Project is at heart a dance band whose music is best experienced live. The show starts at 9pm
