This weekend Buffalo experiences a folk rock legend once called “the best kept secret in the music business.” Canadian-born Shawn Philips has made himself known through contributions to other musical endeavors, notably his work with Donovan and the Beatles, as well as showing guitar techniques to Joni Mitchell. The multi-talented singer/songwriter plays not only the six-stringed guitar but the twelve-string and the sitar as well. Perhaps he’ll play some of these less common instruments when he comes to Nietzsche’s on Saturday (April 5) for a show at 8pm sharp. The Outlyers will follow with a set at 10pm
