Mixing music with teaching, Grammy-winner Victor Wooten comes to Rockwell Hall this Saturday (April 5) for a workshop and performance. Early in the afternoon Wooten will give a free presentation for Buffalo State College students in Rockwell Hall Room 204 at 1pm. In the evening, the bass guitar icon and former collaborator with Bela Fleck & the Flecktones will give a concert at 8pm, as part of the 2007-2008 Great Performers Series. The release of his latest solo recording, Palmystery (Heads Up International), just happened on April 1. The album features the range of styles Wooten has mastered—jazz, funk pop, soul, gospel, world beat and more.
