On Friday (Jan. 11), three year old powerpop/punk group Lemuria will celebrate the release of their new CD, Get Better (Asian Man), with an album release party at Mohawk Place. It’s an all local-band show with special guests the Exit Strategy, whose new album City of Microphones is due for release next month, and Having Eyes. Lemuria is recently back from a five week tour of Europe, where the German label Yo Yo Records has put together a compilation CD comprising nearly everything the band has put out so far. Get Better will be available at Friday’s show for $8, the LP version for $9. What’s more, the first fifty people to buy the album will get a free screen printed poster as a bonus. The show starts at 8pm.
