Principals to James Williams: Get Lost

James Williams

Buffalo’s high school principals vote no confidence in superintendent

On Monday night, Buffalo’s association of public high school principals registered a unanimous vote of no confidence in Superintendent James A. Williams.

The vote of no confidence follows closely on the heels of Williams’ announcement that he is staying in Buffalo; his contract (renewed last fall by an administration-friendly, outgoing board of education) runs through 2011. Williams had been a finalist for the superintendent’s job in Memphis, Tennessee, but told the press on Friday that he had withdrawn his name from consideration—a move that apparently led the Memphis Commercial Appeal to spike a Sunday profile skewering Williams for his record as superintendent in Buffalo and in Dayton, Ohio.

Word is, Williams is furious about the no-confidence vote and has been burning up the phone lines, chewing out those principals he deems responsible for the measure. To which one might reply: Dr. Williams, the vote was, according to our sources, unanimous.

Well what a joke. It really doesn’t matter that the teachers and now the administration don’t want Wms. around, does it…

When will the people and especially the media in Buffalo get what the real problem in this pitiful district is!

It’s the black women’s sorority. I apologize that I don’t know the name of it.

These women are running rampid in the district and they want Wms. to stay because they get the underhanded support they need from him.

When will someone bring attention to this power hungry group of women. They are out of control…

They have a majority on the board and they lie, cheat and deceive for each other.

Ruth Kapsiak was underhanded as Supervisor of Elementary Education and then this crazy city voted her into a board position, and now has been elected board president. She is really thinking that she’s all that! Just look at her expression and attitude. Did you get a load of her in her “manifesto” on the BPS website? http://www.buffaloschools.org/news.cfm?story=679

Why do you think that Crystal Barton got off by the board so easily? DUH, she’s a sorority girl. Who was it that proposed that the investigation into one of the McKinley issues be dropped? Ruth Kapsiak! What a surprise…

This sorority is devastating our already troubled school system. They are a power hungry bunch of women who will stop at nothing to show you who’s in charge!

I think that State Ed should get rid of this board and Wms.! They how will we figure out how to get rid of all the sorority girls in City Hall and in our schools! Anyone have any ideas?

How can anyone have any confidence in Wms. or the board considering the behaviors we have been observing.

Thank you to Ralph Hernandez, Lou Petrucci, and Catherine Nugent Panepinto for continuing to stand up to this out of control bunch of power hungry people. Why is no one coming forward to support their committment to the children and the taxpayers in this district?

I agree 100% with both of the above comments! As I've clearly stated in the last two (2) Artvoice issues, Williams is a waste...he has risen to the level of his own incompetence. It's unfortunate that when stating the obvious truth about Williams, the issue of "racism" is quick to follow. I am not a fan of Carl Paladino...but,his statements regarding Williams' hiring as being based on his race is partially true. The above comments by BPS mess furthers that truth. It's appalling. It (williams)is an insult to the citizenry's intelligence. This is especially true to the Afro-American populace in the city of Buffalo.

Quite simply/obviously, Williams is indefensible. I am still baffled as to how he ended up in Buffalo. Anyone who read the article "who is James Williams" probably came away thinking the same: How and/or Why? Williams actions in Dayton OH alone should have precluded him from any type of employment here. Let alone the head of our school system [if you haven't read the article, I highly suggest you do/last week's AV] To what degree did williams' race play in his hiring? I don't really know. I would hope that it was a very small point of consideration. James Williams has disgraced the city of Buffalo and the Afro-American community within.

Mr. Williams should be removed from his position immediately!!! He should take Ms Barton right along with him. For those (Mr. White)who have acused me of being a racist....read the forementioned article before you respond. Once again, my opinion is that color should NOT ever be a guage of an individual's perceived qualifications...but rather education, past job performance, test scores and the ability to interact with others!

Williams has got all the intrenched Buffalo thugs on the run. Stand strong Williams. The Buffalo thugs are going to lose. Fire all the principals and block the e-mails from the last few people who are part of the Artvoice Mafia. Let's see them criticize some of the white elephants in Buffalo instead of the school system that has been drained of resources to support the junk Artvoice advocates for (i.e. the theater district, downtown tax breaks, signature bridges, etc....).

Williams is a great man and can turn around the Buffalo schools. I bet the principals who voted no confidence for Williams all had lipo, hair transplants and boob jobs. They are sitting on big retirement plans while the futures of out kids suffer.

Being a proud member of the newly organized "artvoice mafia"...I must question the rationale of "Williams#1"...Are you sure you are not "Mr. White" with another phony pen name? I had to ask because Mr White is the only other one (over the past couple of AV issues)attempting to defend the "indefencible."

As I stated in an earlier post, maybe we should ask the folks from Dayton OH if they'd be willing to testify to Williams' greatness LOL! Get serious...please!!!

Dayton Fliers

How stupid are the people in Buffalo. They hired a guy from Dayton. I think a great man once said, "stupid is what stupid does." It looks like the people in Buffalo hired a guy they didn't do a proper search on and then cried over their dumb mistake. Why hire a guy from Dayton? Couldn't a person from a place better be coaxed into taking the job? It really shows where Buffalo is in the food chain of cities.

Here is a suggestion. If Williams leaves Buffalo (i.e. for a better offer in Toledo or Youngstown), Buffalo should try to hire the next guy from a place like Iraq or Chile. Maybe they can just do a search via a prision re-entry program.

Beggers can't be choosers. Given what a dump Buffalo is, I would expect the next candidate to be even worst than the last. That's the pattern. I think Buffalo should hang on to what it's got, or just bus their kids to Syracuse or Hamilton where competent people are. Maybe we can give Buffalo back to the French for a few pelts. The French could educate their children better.

Some people have selective memories. I've been following the Williams bashing in Artvoice all along and many people have disagreed with the slanted, anti-Williams, coverage and blogging. It's typical of the Williams haters to accuse us of not being sincere.

I get the impression that Winfield et. al. are just Artvoice writers clogging the blogs with unrepresentative comments to drown out the supporters for Williams.

This last Artvoive story was rediculous. Unaminous vote, right. How many votes were cast, one? Artvoice is so unprofessional, and the artvoice staff who write on the blog under assumed names are so petty.

Now I understand why some of the real bloggers call Artvoice, "Fartvoice" all the stories stink an so do the politics that the Artvoice Mafia play.

LOL-not, get a life you big babies.
