VooDoo Glow Skulls (June 10)

Old-school ska-core band the VooDoo Glow Skulls are bringing their hard and fast style to Xtreme Wheels on Tuesday (June 10) for what’s sure to be a raucous show. Formed in Riverside, California circa 1988, the Glow Skulls— brothers Frank, Eddie, and Jorge Casillas along with childhood frend Jerry O’Neill—are steeped in third-wave skate punk tradition. Starting out playing backyard parties for inland California teens, they went on to keep company with bands like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Firehose, and Murphy’s Law. Far from disappearing as the decade turned, VGS rounded the corner into the 90s seamlessly, sharing stages with newer bands like the Offspring, No Doubt, and 311. After signing to Epitaph in 1995, the band headlined Warped Tour in ‘98, reaching its stride and switching to Victory Records. And on into the new millenium, the beat goes on...Doors at the Skate Park open at 6pm
