Linda McRae will play at the next house concert hosted by music lovers Marty Boratin and Sue Tanner on Sunday (June 22). You may remember McRae from her stint in Canadian Celtic folk alternative band Spirit of the West during their heyday. This time around, she’ll be bringing her alt. country folk rock to an intimate setting where audience members will have a chance to appreciate her bluegrass tinged vocals, and then say “hello” right afterward. Across the country, house concerts have become a staple gig to many touring folk artists, and these shows, staged at 7341 Nelson Drive in Hamburg, are put on by the best folks in the business. Opening for McRae is Hamburg native and Buffalo Music Hall of Famer Jim Whitford, one of the region’s most talented and beloved songwriter/musicians.
