Cute Is What We Aim For (June 27)

Cute Is What We Aim For may be the premiere mainstream band keeping Buffalo on the national scene these days. This Friday (June 27), the prodigal sons return with an all-ages show and a power pop line-up custom built to induce hysteria in thirteen-year-old girls. Cute Is What We Aim For has become something of a “big deal” since signing to Fueled by Ramen three years ago. Known mostly for clever pop jingles and larger-than-life attitude, the quartet has toured with Plain White T’s and Gym Class Heroes, headlined AP’s “Bands You Need to Know” tour, and sold tens of thousands of records. Now Cute is touring in support of their second full-length album, Rotation, which claims to depart from the predictability of the band’s first release, The Same Old Blood Rush With a New Touch. Doors open at 7pm at the Town Ballroom, with Powerspace, Danger Radio, and Ace Enders & A Million Different People opening the show.
