Lebanese Festival
This Friday, St. John Maron Church kicks off it’s three day celebration of Lebanese culture and food at the 10th Annual Lebanese festival. Delicious foods, handmade by the women of the parish, will include tabouli, falafel, chicken and beef kabobs, spinach pies, kibbeh, stuffed grape leaves, hummus and much more. Make sure to save room for the desserts and strong Turkish coffee...the baklava and mamool are to die for! Fresh Lebanese flat bread will be made to order and cooked in the traditional way, on a sajj. Aside from eating, which is, let’s face it, the real reason for going to the festival, there will be much to see and hear. Lebanese music and dancing will be ongoing throughout the weekend. Backgammon tables and games of chance, along with a raffle for prizes will be taking place. There is also a children’s area with a bounce house and games. A gift shop will offer Lebanese cookbooks, t-shirts, cd’s of Lebanese music and more. It will be a great party under the tents. So rain or shine, bring family and friends to enjoyall the food and fun.
