A new kind of Halloween party hits Buffalo this month
by Bryan Whitley-Grassi
Pride Center of Western New York, Inc. (PCWNY) is excited to announce Trixxx & Treats: An LGBT Halloween Party for local lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities and their allies. This is the only community-wide event celebrating this spooktacular holiday for ages 21 and up.
Trixxx & Treats takes place at the Hamlin House (432 Franklin Street) on November 1, 9pm-midnight, with a costume contest at 11pm. Admission is $20 an all proceeds benefit the Pride Center and its programs. Partygoers will enjoy free refreshments, music, games, and raffles while visiting exhibitors’ tables for information on local LGBT organizations, businesses, and service providers. It is sure to be a delightful as well as educational evening. And afterwards, you can head up to Allen Street to party the night away.
Costumes are encouraged and awards will be given for best costume, scariest costume, sexiest costume, and most original costume. Music will be provided by DJ B-Dub.
So, feeling a little ghoulish or just want another reason to wear out those size 14 pumps you bought for Halloween? Then join the Pride Center for the debut of Trixxx and Treats. What a great way to wrap up the scariest weekend of the year!
For more information or to find out about having a table at this year’s event, please contact Aimee at 852-PRIDE. We hope to see you out.
