Isabel Allende: Tickets left!
Babel wraps up season with expansion into Kleinhans Music Hall
Chilean-American novelist Isabel Allende is the last speaker in this year’s season of Babel, the wildly successful speaker series conceived by Just Buffalo Literary Center and realized with the help of an ever-growing list of sponsors.
Babel brings to Buffalo prominent, prize-winning literary voices from around the world, and Allende certainly fits the bill: She has published 17 novels, the most of famous of which remains 1982’s The House of Spirits, which began as a letter to her 99-year-old grandfather on his deathbed.
Tickets for previous Babel events, held at Babeville, became increasingly difficult to obtain. So Babel has moved Allende’s appearance to Kleinhans, which will remain the home of Babel next year. That’s good news, because it means there are plenty of seats available: Call 832-5400 or visit www.justbuffalo.org for more information.
