Blue Banana Night
we talk of the blue banana
that tastes like ice cream
legendary librarians
arresting Chihuahua
gala apples, spiced rum
dinner is exemplary
as are the guests
in the colorful artist’s
circle of friends
a fabric of stars
a Chinese Happy Family
eating pot roast
drinking sherry
being extraordinary
for one splendid
blue banana night

Revoked Vitals
Come to my door. Find my footsteps
in the snow,
and look upon me
laying on the bed, red striped and erased.
Sit at my right side to help me close
my eyes.
Notarize for me your
problems with the world today. Hand them over.
Raise the earth above my head;
bury them
with my debts
that haven’t seen the house I left.
Now fly away—fly away fast—and
turn over
your leafs to rescind
after me the happiness you never received.
