the big hand

Time…

The notice of it is,

but in passing…

Just arrives.

stuck in a crack

I found a worm one day

lying in the crack of the sidewalk,

and I sat down beside it and thought for

a moment what it must be like

to be stuck in a crack.

I then asked the worm

a question concerning its current

predicament. It was a simple answer really,

one I should have been able to

answer myself. Last night

it had rained, and now my

little friend was flushed from his

home and was stuck in the crack that I was

sitting beside. Then I quickly

bobbed down, and ate him up.
