DEMENTIA 13 (1963)— It’s just a coincidence that this, Francis Ford Coppola’s first full feature film, is playing the same week that his newest film opens in Buffalo. It’s a low-budget but effective Psycho-inspired shocker about a women scheming to get a cut of her late husband’s ancestral estate. Starring William Campbell, Luana Anders, and Patrick Magee. BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID (1969)—Paul Newman and Robert Redford’s first on-screen teaming was in this iconic western loosely based on the real-life train robbers who fled to South America in the early years of the 20th century. Co-starring Katharine Ross, Strother Martin, Henry Jones, Jeff Corey, George Furth, Cloris Leachman and Kenneth Mars. Directed by George Roy Hill (The Sting).
