Adopt a Buffalonian
by Andy McLeod
Maybe I missed the joke about the “Adopt a Buffalonian” piece (“Week in Review,” Artvoice v8n39). Maybe we’re all just high-flying financeers that can’t afford Prada or Brooks Brothers anymore, but I doubt it. You don’t need to look for people who made it through last winter without a furnace, or spend the first week of the month putting in overtime to make the COBRA payment, people with two kids, one unemployment check, and no idea where the next job will come from. Whatever you see when you look beyond your hipply ironic navel will doubtless be better to write about. Or you could raise a toast to not being next.
