I Want Your Money
by M. Faust
Opening in a handful of local theaters this week is this right-wing propaganda piece pitting Ronald Reagan against “socialist” Barack Obama (both played by actors in giant bobblehead masks). Not screened for the press, but here’s what a self-identified conservative reviewer, Nate Sunderland of the Rexburg (Idaho) Standard Journal, had to say about it: “…biased to a fault…Reagan is near deified in this film, portrayed as a wise mentor or teacher to an untutored and deceitful Obama…I’m not stupid and know propaganda when I see it…only the politically unaffiliated who [are] completely incapable of making their own informed decisions (based on all of the facts and logical arguments) will get anything from this film…I would only recommend this film if you need someone to tell you what to believe.” Caveat emptor.
