	Goodbye, Democracy by Corinne Lanphear
	This country was built on the premise of upholding the dignity, the rights and the participation of the people in the laws and policies that govern us—and to stand against the tyranny that would threaten to take our voice. We called it democracy. For it was written—“of the people, by the people, for the people.”
	Cut Down on Meat For Kids by Bob Lovejoy
	Last month, first lady Michelle Obama called on the US Conference of Mayors to help her fight the national scourge of childhood obesity. She noted that one-third of all children are overweight or obese. She proposed healthier school lunch fares, increased physical activity, and nutrition education.
