Dux: On backbiters, Bruce Lee, bogus ninjas and fake news

By Frank Dux;

Frank Dux

Few people are aware of how the late Bruce Lee – although a world famous star of martial arts films – was one of the most controversial and ridiculed martial artists within the martial arts community.

Lee likened the criticism to the children’s game of “King of The Hill” since various people took turns, it seemed to him, sometimes ganging up on him, to push him off his top of the hill position in martial arts.

I observed it myself.

In the 1960’s, I was part of the upcoming group of young martial artists who grew up in the “San Fernando Valley of The Champions”.  I heard many unflattering stories about Lee, floated around from mouth-to-ear of gossipers, some of them notable martial artists.

One story was that at a Kung Fu demonstration in Los Angeles’s Chinatown, Jimmy Haw Woo, the man credited with bringing Kung Fu San Soo to America, and Bruce Lee were there. Woo called Bruce out as a fraud with no understanding of real Kung Fu. Lee and his entourage, rather than stand and fight the dishonor, ran away.

Another story was that the Chinese community, upset with Lee teaching Kung Fu to non-Asians, shamed him out of their world by dispatching a Kung Fu “boo how doy”, a real hatchet man, who broke Lee’s back. This forced Lee to break ties to Kung Fu, and invent his own style of martial arts — Jeet Kune Do – in order to safely continue teaching non-Asians.

Two great martial arts fighters. Vic Moore (l), the first black to become a national karate champion, in an exhibition of speed and Bruce Lee (r). While Dux never got the opportunity to fight Bruce Lee, he had two matches with Vic Moore. Both ended in draws.

Having witnessed the defamation of Bruce Lee, it helped me process the falsehoods said about myself after I rose to some prominence and my fights came to the attention of Black Belt Magazine which led to a movie about a part of my life, called Bloodsport, starring Jean Claude Van Damme as me.

Soon after the movie came out, the negative talk about me from people in the martial arts community exploded.

The rumors took wings once the movie became a box office success and my martial arts schools were growing by leaps and bounds.

A Los Angeles Times journalist, John Johnson, contacted by one of my detractors, decided to write a story about me. For hi sources he basically limited himself to those who had other, competing martial arts school, a number of so-called ninja masters whose business model was threatened by my work in martial arts and my lectures on the subject of how the word ‘ninja’ was misconstrued and misused and was not a true martial art.

Johnson wrote his story, published in the Los Angeles Time on May 1988. It was little more than an editorial disguised as a news report, a “hatchet job.”

If you have the time, and are curious, one of my students hosts a website, www.fasstduxryu.com where,  a “Frank Dux Kills The Bull Videos” link provides a lighthearted examination of how the truth was distorted in the Times article and how others made use of the original falsehoods by regurgitating the same lies – with the same old argument – it must be true if it is published in the Los Angeles Times.

I once considered suing the Times but as my business activities increased so did my reputation and more offers came.  I felt it not worth the time to tread down the expensive legal path to try, as a public figure,  to try to prove malice in a defamation or libel suit.

Still, the story was wrong. For example, the Times reported that no evidence existed that my mentor and martial arts instructor, Senzo Tanaka ever lived.  The Times writer went so far as to imply I made him up, borrowing the name from an Ian Fleming novel.

Johnson, for the Times, quoted me, on Senzo Tanaka: “‘We developed a kinship like no other,’ Dux said of his relationship with his ‘world-famous’ teacher, Senzo (Tiger) Tanaka, who Dux said was the descendant of a warrior line 40 generations long.”

Johnson added, “No trace of Tanaka could be found in historical texts or from independent martial arts experts.” Johnson also wrote he couldn’t find any record of his death, which he claimed I said occurred in 1975.

As for the “martial arts experts” Johnson quotes only one – Shoto Tanemura, a somewhat obscure Ninjitsu instructor, whose school was in competition with my own.

Johnson called him “one of a select group of recognized Ninja masters in the world [who] said … he had never heard of Dux or Tanaka. ‘There is not Mr. Tanaka in Japanese history’ of the Ninja families, Tanemura said.”

Not that this is truly important, except as an example of how fake news is spun.

Johnson quotes Tanemura, the expert, who claims no Tanaka or ninja lineage in the Tanaka name existed.  Ironically Tanemura was peddling his own brand of Ninjutsu as a 35 generations old martial arts tradition. But, and here’s the ironic part, with no known record of his lineage in existence in Japan except what he peddled as his own. Had Johnson called other martial artists they would likely have denied hearing about Tanemura.

The selective use of a source is a way of distorting the truth.

But here we had it on the record – and the LA Times too – no existence of my teacher Tanaka, no evidence the name exists in Japan.

A little research however would have shown that Senzo Tanaka did exists and this is evidenced by his death certificate on record in Los Angeles (he died in 1975) and can be viewed online along with the US Dept. of Labor records of passenger manifests which showed he travel to the USA and which contains his place and date of birth and his prior occupation in Japan.

Everything I told Johnson which he ridiculed in print turned out to be true.

Tanaka did exist. He was the age I said he was when I met and trained with him. The passenger manifest shows he came to the US. His death certificate shows he died in the very city, Los Angeles, where I said he died.

But, according to the Times story, the expert witness said there was no Tanaka associated with Ninjitsu in Japanese history. Yet near Fujieda, in central Shizuoka, near where my instructor was born and lived as one of the warrior farmers who, for centuries, had made the area famous for its honorable, skillful fighters, there are numerous Tanaka’s still living who teach the traditional way.  And in this area, the bastion of Ninjutsu, is the cave where Miyamoto Musashi lived and wrote his immortal Book of Five Rings, and where, in feudal times, when every warlord made use of forces we now wrongly identify as Ninja — fighting men of honor – there exists Tanaka castle.

Strange that Johnson quoted an expert who said he knew not of the name Tanaka.

The intent of the Johnson  editorial was to create the impression that I was a fake Ninja.

But I never looked back. In the mid-1970’s, before Bloodsport came out and before the Ninja boom, I constructed my “budo” (way of warfare) from my own name, “Dux” and “Ryu”, which means to flow from, and identified the strategies that guided it: Ninjitsu (Intrinsic/Strategic battlefield skills.)

Dux Ryu was the first American System of Ninjutsu.

Poster used in the movie Bloodsport.

But as the Ninja craze developed, my school’s name conflicted with what certain so-called ninja teachers who advertised in certain martial arts magazines were peddling, which was that Ninjutsu/Ninja is a hundreds of years old form of  “martial art”.

This I knew was a money making scam, guys calling themselves ninjas and selling their bogus “centuries old” ninja fighting manual courses, seminars and products.

The ninja martial art myth perpetrators and the martial art magazines profiting from their advertising propagated that only one authentic lineage existed, called “Togakure-ryu.”  The linchpin of their claim of authenticity was a mysterious headmaster “Toda”, who, unlike my teacher, Tanaka, there really is no proof of his existence found anywhere in Japan.

So, with perfect fake news reporting, the expert witness who claimed Tanaka did not exist, who was my competitor in business, peddling a bogus history of ancient lineage, is quoted as saying my teacher was not real.

Bruce Lee, tired of the carping criticism, formed an alliance with the martial arts magazines – particularly Rainbow Publications mogul Mito Ohara, (who published black belt magazine and many others). With Lee’s advertising and Ohara’s publicity machine, Lee began to overcome the criticism and hateful speech heaped on him in the envious world of faux martial arts.

After his untimely death, his wife Linda Lee and her new husband marketed Lee’s image magnificently with his picture making the cover of every leading martial art magazine several times a year for decades and with books published in his name long after his death.

So, I can tell you from personal observation, that the world of drug trafficking at times pales in comparison to the cut-throat business of some martial arts businesses.

For my part, I owe a great debt to my honored teacher, the late and highly revered Senzo Tanaka and I am grateful to my thousands of students, my tens of thousands of correspondents and readers, and the people around the world who I hear from nearly every day of my life who say they were inspired by Bloodsport, the movie about my life.

With a sold out book with Harper Collins, with another great martial arts movie, the Quest, which I wrote, making it to the screen, with offers of speaking and teaching engagements coming in, with being recognized as a contributing source for the Navy Seal Spec War CFC Manual (k431-0097), and with a new book and a movie about me coming out soon, I have little time for the backbiters and purveyors of gossip.

I have little time for surmises, jealousies, conjectures; ‘words that are slippery or thought which is viscous.’

I have learned ‘silence from the talkative,’ and that ‘an unbelieved truth can hurt more than a lie.’

And ‘never trade individuality for conformity.’

  • Hi there, of course this article is in fact pleasant and I have learned lot of
things from it regarding blogging. thanks.

  • Hold on since Sky brought my name into it lets bring up some issues with Dux…
    1. I am not in the Black Dragon yet I am responsible for the de-classified report on William Aguiar’s trademark fraud… I am seen here wearing a BDFS shirt in a picture with a Dux…

    2. Dux by own admission denied sending people to an event, then when exposed for doing so claimed those people were pawns… Myself being ome of them and so great a person and so beyond these public debates that Dux has instead be involved in a lengthly e-mail harassment compaign…

    3. Dux was never involved with the BDFS until he was brought into a lawsuit by William Aguiar the 3rd in 2008/2009 & paid Lawrence Day, Stoffel Van Vuuren and Ashida Kim to come into the BDFS lineage with a BS story and links to Count Dante. Thats why the change of public name from Black Dragon Fighting Society International to IFAA/BDFS.

Dux isn’t just a fraud he uses people to get his way… I can’t speak for David Lee but, I can & will speak for myself, my name is only being brought up and, I know many don’t know me, because I wouldn’t take the blame for Dux trying to sabotage the IFAA/BDFS and take the fall for his attempts to threaten & harass his detractors.

Oh and everyone plus e-mail Frank Dux at hanshifrankdux@outlook.com and tell him to fight me… Please send all screenshots to omotoryuha@gmail.com so that I can post them on the Black Dragon Ninjitsu blog…

  • If Dux is real and his system is so effective, why is he advertising on cheap clickbait websites? Why are none of your students champions? Why don’t you have backing from any Japanese association, who in large, are great about crediting skilled foreigners? It doesn’t add up. If you are teh real, put up or shut up. Otherwise stop scamming people out of their money.

  • You’re right about one thing, though, there is an attempted obfuscation of the truth going on. How long have you been up at it so far, Frankie?

  • The confusion with regards to the Vic Moore/Bruce Lee thing was due to your ambiguous sentence.

Way to use that to avoid answering every other legitimate question, not to mention your many other past inconsistent statements.

You are a buffoon of the highest order.

  • Just posting the death record and passenger manifest of Senzo Tanaka now in a new Artvoice post.

  • I am posting the passenger manifest and death record of the allegedly mythical Senzo Tanaka on a new post on Artvoice now.

  • The obfuscation of truth is made evident herein with back bitting “bogus ninjas” popping up in the comment section of this article which I assure others this is not staged and quite genuine. You can witness for yourself how these unethical persons work in concert to arbitrarily attribute to me false statements in order to hold me up to ridicule and take a taste of my success by trying to take a bite out of me, ergo claiming that I had represented Bruce Lee and Victor Moore fought twice and whereupon, demanding I provide proof of this. The obfuscation is carried out to divert attention away from the important points of the article as well as obfuscate others positive comments that illustrates the kind of manipulation and management of perception that is ongoing in the pursuit of unfair trade practices. There is no point in conversing with orally bankrupt persons or those financially and emotionally over-invested in counterargument to the extent they will not honor the truth — made predictable by their past rejection of the incontrovertible truth whenever presented.

  • I ask again: The footage that was shown during the Voice vs Frank Dux: Was that you in the kumite, Frank? Who provided the footage to the producers? Was that a real glass Jack Daniels bottle you shattered in the Bercy filmed demonstration? In the tournament where you knocked 56 people out in a row, what was the format of the tournament? Where there brackets, or were you the only person who had to face 56 others? Why do you or people who claim to work for you or back you refuse to answer very simple questions about your alleged past accomplishments?

  • Once, an insane man with delusions of grandeur got out of the military after falling off a truck while painting it, so he made up an entire fake persona and suckered people for decades who have no power to use reason or logic to verify his ludicrous, contradictory claims.

    I like this game.

  • You’re equating beating 56 people in a row in one tournament or beating 329 of them total and not being able to recall a single fucking one or have one step forward as the same thing as recalling who you played dodgeball with in school?

Do you read your statements before posting them?

I never asked him to name all of them. I asked him to provide some of them, period. All these years, all these wins, all these records that are down to the centi-second and mph rating…zero records, zero witnesses, zero people willing to say they saw him fight except for maybe some people that have circular vouching going back and forth with Frank, zero footage, zero pictures of said tournaments.

That doesn’t sound out of the ordinary for you? People who have fought a fraction of that amount of people have records, photos, witnesses, etc.

I ask again: The footage that was shown during the Voice vs Frank Dux: Was that Frank in the kumite? Who provided the footage to the producers? Was that a real glass Jack Daniels bottle he shattered in the Bercy filmed demonstration? In the tournament where he knocked 56 people out in a row, what was the format of the tournament? Where there brackets, or was Frank the only person who had to face 56 others? Why do you or Frank refuse to answer very simple, clear questions? Could it be because doing so would expose the lies even further?

Lineage doesn’t matter? I tend to agree with you there, somewhat, but I’m not into traditional martial arts. But integrity matters. If you claim lineage, you should be able to prove it.

BTW, I can prove I graduated from a reputable school. It’s clear you never went to a real University if you don’t understand that. Regardless, the onus of proof is on Frank, and he has provided zero of it for all his statements for the past many *decades*.

  • It’s been two days since you posted that you will post info in 24 hours. I guess you’re working on the same time frame Frankie is using for his bullshit ninja book

  • I know nothing of martial arts but this Dux fellow has made some pretty outrageous military claims. It’s the 21st Century and I find it hard to believe that some secret agent Medal of Honor Viet Nam kill mission adventure he claims he was involved in cannot be confirmed. I mean the LA Times article says he never left the States!

Maybe he just had one too many karate chops to his coconut.

  • I have searched online for the death certificate but failed to locate it. Please can you supply the link

  • 1. Dux has never claimed to teach a lineage of martial arts to anybody… Dux Ryu… Flow from Dux or Dux Family is His System as he taught it, not a Japanese system but American!
    2. Tanaka was just one of his many mentors he learned from as he had many.
    3. There were many underground fights (Kumite) at the time as that kind of fighting was not sanctioned for a spectator event like the PKA in 70’s and 80’s The movie Bloodsport is about only one of them.
    4. As far as the BDFS there are many organizations that have Unscrupulous people in them but we do our best once we find out who these people are they are dealt with and removed from the organization. Ron Collins is not in the BDFS nor is David Lee.
    5. I don’t know how old you are but when you were in School did you play Sports and if you did please prove to me everyone you beat on the field, I need to know their names and their sports records and you also hopefully spent 12 years in school but I bet you can only name your favorite teachers not all of them even though you were there for 8 hours a day for 9 months x 12 but since you can’t name all your teachers you must be a fraud because you can’t provide proof you learned anything if you can’t even remember your teachers name. Anyone can print out a diploma but prove you actually graduated and your friends and photos do not count as proof.
    6. Frank Dux Teaches Dux Ryu… How can you be a Fraud of something you Created yourself
    7. The students of Dux Ryu have worked their buts off to become great fighters and many have gone on to be champions in their own right not necessarily under the umbrella of Dux Ryu but the traditional systems of their training… Dux Ryu is about Flow and Angles of attack and evasion, Dynamic Footwork and Theories and Principles that can be applied to any ARTFORM to make them more effective and efficient… Dux Ryu is an application Technology not a Art Form but a Science that was developed by Dux. He has never claimed to teach a traditional system of Ninjitsu.
    8. Lineage who cares unless your a historian… does it work or not.
    9. Training is different for each individual and not all Dux ryu Students were taught by Dux so please refrain from speaking ill words about the students of Dux Ryu as they all have proved themselves on the floor “Old School” in Competitions as well as Military and Police.
    10. If you want to contact me i’m always available 206-931-8573 I have nothing to hide and train daily. I don’t have all the answers but most. I have trained under Frank Dux for 35 years.
Dux Ryu is taught in: USA, Sweden, Germany, Iceland, Russia, Australia, Mexico, Canada, Puerto Rico, Africa, Mongolia, Argentina and Brazil… All different schools with the same Application Technology applied and nothing that has to do with Tanaka, BDFS, IFAA, Vic Moore or any type of negative semantics or word play just straight training, “Class ain’t over till there is blood on the floor.
    .

  • The comments below are quite interesting, especially those critical of Frank Dux. We have done some research and will be presenting our findings within the next 24 hours in a new article. Please stay tuned….

  • Also:

” This test of speed between them was confined to strikes to the body as is the custom and standard for these martial art tests of that era, for example Kyokushinkai, Karate matches of Mas Oyama. This best explains why only footage favoring Bruce Lee is presented and all the strikes thrown by Victor Moore go unseen.”

First, if that was “custom and standard” for points matches (I’ll concede to not knowing enough about Kyokushin, although I have sparred with many of its practitioners, and they certainly al hit to the head), what does that have to do with a speed demonstration?

Secondly, are you saying that Moore battered Bruce to the body, but that footage got somehow edited out?

More importantly, the videoclip is clearly about the speed demonstration, and clearly shows Vic Moore lying in his alleged recollection of the events. He claims he wasn’t looking, he obviously was. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and say he wasn’t ready for the first punch…

The next lie is that there was only one punch and they show it over and over. Bullshit, you can see multiple punches in an unedited single sequence.

The BDFS, Dux Ryu, and Dux himself have never provided any proof of their wild and crazy claims, which is obvious to anyone who does even a modicum of research. When exposed on his page, Dux deletes the comments and blocks the people from commenting. That’s his right, but some of us understand how logic and numbers work.

  • “Likewise, with Frank Dux assistance I wrote the biography being quoted
from and I reported what was being “alleged” (that means not
corroborated) that Tanaka and Seki’s father are one in the same and died
in Japan. They are my words” , so this can not be corroborated but you wrote it anyway and you accuse others of “twist things because of what others have said in the past and never really find out the truth” and you have the gall to accuse Phil of being deceptive. Seems a very hypocritical attitude. I do not see any Deception of the part of Phil.

If Frank has video proof of his fights then he can stop using the video of Philippe Cadoret a French Kung Fu fighter in his articles and online, one of which appears in this website.

Likewise Frank says this about Senzo Tanaka “his death certificate on record in Los Angeles (he died in 1975) and can
be viewed online along with the US Dept. of Labor records of passenger
manifests” so please link them, because I can not find them.

Were you at the event with Bruce lee and Victor Moore? Or are you “twist things because of what others have said in the past and never really find out the truth”, so how do you know the rules of the event? Victor Moore won fights he also lost his fair share of fights as most fighters will do.

One final question for now, why is the secret man out of print if it is such a successful book?

  • I based three matchup question on what I see is now an ambiguous sentence:

“While Dux never got the opportunity to fight Bruce Lee, he had two matches with Vic Moore. Both ended in draws.”

The “he” here can be either Dux or Lee. I initially parsed it as Lee.

That doesn’t change the fact that Dux provided no evidence for any of his claims, ever.

Also, why bring up awards? Various organizations and people will give anyone an award for the right price or for reciprocity. The BDFS certainly appears to be such an organization.

“Likewise, with Frank Dux assistance I wrote the biography being quoted from and I reported what was being “alleged” (that means not corroborated) that Tanaka and Seki’s father are one in the same and died in Japan. They are my words”

Wait…so you wrote the biography with Frank’s help, but you reported things he never said? What did you base these on? Frank now claims he said Tanaka died in Los Angeles all along, so he didn’t correct the person writing the biography on his own official website? He was very close to his teacher, so if he died in Los Angeles in 1975, Frank would have known this all along, but he’s fine with “alleged” facts starting otherwise being on his own website?

As far as him having never been inconsistent, really? Then, as his apparently official biographer, let me ask you: where was the infamous “kumite” held?

Can you name any of the 56 people he knocked out in a single tournament? What was the format of that tournament, was it single elimination with brackets, or was Frank the only person who had to fight 56 others? Can you name any of the 329 people he defeated? His records are all recorded down to the tenth or hundredth of a second, or recorded with equipment that requires measuring speed. Who can verify these? Sounds like something that would require filming it to verify it, where is the footage? In his “The Voice vs Frank Dux” interview, who is that in the alleged kumite footage, is it Frank? Who provided that footage to the producers? In the footage from Bercy, France, is that a real glass bottle of Jack Daniels that is smashed in the filmed demonstration?

  • It can be, if that’s what he meant. Then the question would be: Do we have any proof that Dux fought Moore, or anyone else, for that matter?

The fact that Dux uses Moore as a way to validate his accounts doesn’t lend them much credence, since we know that Moore has lied, as demonstrated above.

It doesn’t help that we also know that Dux has lied, as demonstrated an almost infinite amount of times.

  • “While Dux never got the opportunity to fight Bruce Lee, he had two matches with Vic Moore. Both ended in draws.”

Frank never got the chance to fight Bruce Lee. Frank had two matches with Vic Moore, both of which ended in a draw.

    Better?

  • Wow sometimes enough is enough and I have to say a few things here! I think its funny that what Frank Dux talks about in the article about how others will try to pull you down to their level is occurring right here in the comment section.

I know Victor Moore and Frank Dux and I feel compelled to respond because I know they won’t, even in their own defense, because these men are “Old School.” They hold the view that fools and DECEPTIVE people deserve silence.

Let me show you a simple example of how people even one in this thread twist things because of what others have said in the past and never really find out the truth always asking for the evidence the proof, show me etc. by the way every bit of fact you need is online and has been for over 15 years… Here’s the example, PhilB is deceptive. He makes a deliberately misleading statement disguised to look like a legit question, saying: “Do you have any evidence that Vic Moore actually “had two matches” with Bruce Lee and they ended in a draw?”

PhilB is implying that Frank Dux is lying by representing he said this and he needs to provide proof of this… he cant back it up.

Nowhere in this article or anywhere else did Frank Dux represent that Bruce Lee and Victor Moore had two matches that ended in a draw as being falsely represented.

Likewise, with Frank Dux assistance I wrote the biography being quoted from and I reported what was being “alleged” (that means not corroborated) that Tanaka and Seki’s father are one in the same and died in Japan. They are my words. This is not the first time people have worked together to make false statements or manipulate words or images out of context in order to manipulate a false and negative perception. Like what the LA Times did to Dux.

I met plenty of people who knew and were trained by Frank’s teacher, Senzo Tanaka. I have seen never released fight footage of Frank Dux. I met the people who presented him his awards, belts and trophies over the years that the LA Times and his haters reported as being bought by him. I have the photos of us together when he received these awards to prove it.

I also know the truth behind the YouTube video used in asserting that “Victor Moore is A Fraud” as posted here which is also deceptive.

This YouTube footage was taken out of context from the film reels: The strikes by Bruce Lee to Victor Moore’s head didn’t count. This test of speed between them was confined to strikes to the body as is the custom and standard for these martial art tests of that era, for example Kyokushinkai, Karate matches of Mas Oyama. This best explains why only footage favoring Bruce Lee is presented and all the strikes thrown by Victor Moore go unseen.

I have known Frank Dux for well over 30 years and in all that time I have never observed him being inconsistent in anything he has said or done. I have been privileged to meet his teachers and many fighters he fought along the way, like USKA World Karate Champion, Vic Moore, the man who fought and beat all the greats — BUT NOT DUX. I have witnessed things as they were happening that others still say didn’t happen. The way he overcomes adversity is why Frank Dux truly is a living legend.

His article nails it! Good read Shidoshi

  • That’s a good reminder about Bruce Lee; anyone who has great accomplishments in the martial arts community like Frank did will be seen as a threat by some. The fake news reference is on target.

  • I always think fondly of my time spent training at your school in California. You may never know how much you influenced me to be a good person, with Morals and Good Soul. Haters are gonna Hate, keep on being yourself. I consider myself Privileged to have been a student of yours. I would be honored to stand beside you, as would many others I’m sure!

  • Frank is also a coward who will tell you he’s not lying on his Facebook page, then block you when you ask for evidence of his outrageous claims.

    Frank, you claim that:

“A little research however would have shown that Senzo Tanaka did exists and this is evidenced by his death certificate on record in Los Angeles (he died in 1975) and can be viewed online along with the US Dept. of Labor records of passenger manifests which showed he travel to the USA and which contains his place and date of birth and his prior occupation in Japan.”

So, provide the links, then. Why wouldn’t you put them as sources in this rambling mess of an article?

And why the heck would the US Department of Labor keep a passenger manifest of someone travelling to America?

  • When a known liar lies about lying from his lying liar hole and then mentions Bruce Lee. Because, Frank “Ducks of death” Dux is just like Bruce. 😉

  • As late as just a few months ago, archived August 2016, the latest archived version:

“One of the great mysteries in martial arts is how Sanzo Jack Seki’s father (1888 – 1975) like Sanzo Tanaka was not only a reputed Ninjitsu and JuJitsu master but Kung Fu master trained by Shaolin Monks in China, in 1920s-30s and a member of the Society of Black Dragons, the umbrella under which the Kokoryukai Black Dragon Society is a faction. After reputedly living in mid-west and California, just like Sanzo Tanaka, Jack’s father allegedly he returned to Japan where he died, September 1975. The corresponding events lends us to believe that Sanzo Tanaka and Sanzo Jack Seki’s father were one in the same person.”

    Source:

  • Frank…you say Tanaka died in Los Angeles. But you previously said he died in Japan:

    Note:

“Sanzo Seki (1888 – 1975) was not only a reputed Ninjitsu and JuJitsu master but Kung Fu master, trained by Shaolin Monks when he lived in China, in 1920s-30s. After living in Minnesota and California he returned to Japan where he died, September 1975.”
