Spendthrift US owes $4+ trillion to China, Japan, Ireland, Cayman Islands, Brazil, UK, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Hong Kong & Taiwan

By George Forbisher;

According to data published by the U.S. Treasury:

The people of the USA are in debt to the People’s Republic of China and Japan, as well as many others. They will be required to work to pay off that debt and the interest on the debt.

China is owed the most money – almost $1.2 trillion [$1,184,900,000,000]. They hold that amount in U.S. Treasury securities as of December 2017.

The communist authoritarian country had to lend the US more than a trillion dollars for the evidently financially weak USA in order for it to run its government.  Likewise, the beggarly US government owes Japan more than $1 trillion [$1,061,500,000,000].

The US also had to borrow money from Ireland. Taxpayers owe the island nation some $326 billion. [$326,500,000,000].

The US government evidently also could not operate without borrowing from the Cayman Islands $269 billion, Brazil  $256 billion,  the United Kingdom $250 billion, Switzerland $250 billion, Luxembourg $218 billion, Hong Kong $195 billion and Taiwan $181 billion.

It’s a little country. You can barely see it on the map. but somehow the US government needs to borrow from Luxembourg to run America. Thank goodness for the strong people of Luxembourg. They have the strength to help out the larger but utterly dependent nation called America.

The White House Office of Management and Budget estimates the federal government will run an 832.63 billion deficit in fiscal 2018, a $984.39 billion deficit in fiscal 2019, a $986.94 billion deficit in fiscal 2020.

Because the American people cannot afford their own government [who could?], other nations are afforded the opportunity to lend the US money and earn interest. Taxpayers in the US will be required to pay for it, plus interest.

But the government can erode the savings of others through inflation helping to ease repayments.

Fortunately, there are nations wealthy enough to bail dependent Americans out of their desperate dilemma.

If a person operated like the US government does, he would be called a spendthrift or a wastrel.

Maybe the federal government needs a control board or a guardian. How about China? Or Luxembourg?
