RU’S PIEROGI COMES TO TOPS FRIENDLY MARKETS

Buffalo Chicken, Jalapeno & Cheese and Cheddar Potato varieties available at

30 locations throughout the Buffalo, Rochester & Syracuse Markets

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Pierogi purveyors are praising a trinity of popular varieties of Buffalo-made Ru’s Pierogi now available in the frozen sections at 30 Tops Friendly Markets locations in the Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse regions. Tops joins a growing list of grocery retailers that carry Ru’s for home preparation; the company launched both fresh and frozen varieties at select Wegmans locations in Upstate New York and Erie, Penn. last fall, and Ru’s Pierogi has been a longtime fixture at both Lexington Co-Op locations, Farmer & Artisans Markets, Orchard Fresh and Redlinski Meats (which also runs the www.buffalofoods.comwebsite, where Ru’s is available for out of state shipping).  Customers can also walk into the restaurant at 295 Niagara St. in downtown Buffalo and buy frozen pierogi by the dozen at the front counter.

For information on which Tops locations carry Ru’s (as well as where patrons can find Ru’s on local restaurant menus), go to the interactive map at http://ruspierogi.com/store-finder  and type in the desired ZIP code.

The frozen Ru’s Pierogi at Tops come in Buffalo Chicken, Jalapeno & Cheese and Cheddar Potato flavors and are sold by the pound. They are pre-boiled, and ready to serve after deep frying or sautéing for five to six minutes. Home chefs can then customize them by serving with their favorite accompaniments.

Ru’s plans to offer free samples and in-store demos at Tops at the beginning of September to celebrate its launch and will post further details on social media as the dates get closer; be sure to follow Ru’s on (Facebook,Twitterand Instagram) for updates.

In addition to the restaurant, food truck and retail operations, Ru’s can fulfill special orders, including catering; call the restaurant at 716.235.8243 or go to www.ruspierogi.comfor details.
