“Laugh and Other Drugs” at The 9 th Ward at Babeville

Winner of Helium Comedy Club’s 2016 “Buffalo’s Funniest Person” contest, Kevin Thomas, Jr., continues the successful “Laugh and Other Drugs” comedy showcase at The 9th Ward| Babeville venue.

“Laugh and Other Drugs” began over a three years ago to showcase some of the area’s funniest comedians in the perfect local venue for stand-up comedy: The 9th Ward.  This bi-monthly show brings some of the best comedic talent from Buffalo and surrounding areas for a night of laughter.

Featuring…

Ilhan Ali: entertains audiences in the Northeast with playful material focused on her outrageous life experiences and cutting observations; hosts a weekly open mic in Rochester

Shannon Dawn: relatable and absurd comedy; hosted the monthly burlesque showcase at Hot Mama’s Canteen with the Trash Can-Cans

Isabel Hagen: clever, quirky, and sometimes dark sense of humor; currently resides in NYC and performs in both renowned clubs as well as poorly lit rooms in the Tri-state area.

Brandon Trusso: unique and edgy storyteller and joke writer; regular feature and host at Helium Comedy Club; opened for Ralphie May, Rich Vos, Tammy Pescatelli, and Jen Kirkman

Antalon Jackson: laid back and smooth delivery; bizarre yet down-to-earth observations about high and low brow concepts.

Al Mehltretter: can be seen performing all over town making audiences cringe or laugh depending on the moon’s phases.

Richie Santana: both high energy and hilarious; hits stages all over the country

Hosted by Kevin Thomas, Jr., opened for Caroline Rhea, Gary Gulman, and Lachlan Patterson

 

Details

“Laugh and Other Drugs” showcase will be on October 12, 2018; doors are at 7:00 pm and the show begins at 8:00 pm.  Held at The 9th Ward| Babeville venue.  Come through, have a drink, and see the best in local comedy.

Tickets are $8 in advance; $12 at the door.
