QUIX Releases 6-Track “Illusions” EP; Kicks Off North American Tour

Stream & Buy:

Los Angeles, CA – Infusing his signature breed of wonky trap across productions that range from glossy, to experimental, to undeniably heavy, QUIX conjures a spellbinding masterpiece on his sophomore Dim Mak EP Illusions. The New Zealand native’s matured production capabilities are on full display throughout the suspenseful opener “Get Down.” QUIX’s use of organic-meets-electronic elements continues on “Giving Up,” a dreamy, future bass meets hard-hitting trap heater, and “Earthquake,” a colossal trap-dubstep hybrid that partners perfectly with Bok Nero’s dominant flow. The next two tracks further showcase QUIX’s wide range of skills, shifting gears for the R&B-influenced crossover “Ride or Die” with vocalist Reigan and the Vincent collaboration “Hero.” The EP finishes with Aviella’s wavy vocals over QUIX’s archetypal-style production on “All I Have.”

QUIX’s latest body of work is a strong follow up to his 2017 debut EP, Heaps CoolIllusions sees QUIX experiment with an even wider sonic palate and, once again, exceeds all expectations. He recently previewed this new material on a run of dates in Australia (and his hometown Auckland, New Zealand), which included a late night b2b set with Skrillex at an official Listen In festival after party.

Following Halloween weekend with performances at Seattle’s Freaknight and California’s Escape: Psycho Circus, QUIX’s Illusions Tour now arrives in North America. The cross-coast run of dates takes QUIX to Orlando, Minneapolis, Atlantic City, Denver, Los Angeles and several cities in-between. For the most up-to-date itinerary, visit:
