Westminster Choir Showcases Their Vocal Talents

Westminster Presbyterian Church’s talented staff singers perform opera, Broadway, jazz, and more during the second annual Staff Singer Concert on Friday, February 8 at 7:30 PM. This free concert is open to the public and will be performed in Westminster’s Sanctuary, located at 724 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo.
Under the direction of Westminster’s Organist and Director of Music, Garrett Martin, the choir is recognized for its excellence in sacred choral music. This concert is an opportunity for the professional singers in the ensemble to present their distinct and diverse repertoire through multiple musical genres.
Westminster’s staff singers possess high levels of musicianship, strong individual vocal techniques, and diverse styles. Weekly, the choirs presents quality sacred music from the choral canon, ranging from the medieval period to groundbreaking new works. These rare and memorable moments bring heaven closer to earth for those attending worship at Westminster. This concert provides an opportunity to show the versatility and range of the Westminster singers.
“I genuinely believe that the Westminster choirs have had a positive and uplifting influence in the church and community,” says Martin. “Our standards of choral singing have steadily risen due to the talents, skill, and dedication of the members of the choirs. I feel privileged to conduct such a fine group of singers and to showcase their talents in this exciting concert.”
The concert is free. Donations are gratefully accepted for the Westminster Friends of Music who support music and concert programming of Westminster Presbyterian Church, bringing world-class artists to Buffalo for services, concerts, and recitals.
