PEDRO CAPÓ & FARRUKO’S “CALMA (REMIX)” Surpasses 500 Million Views And Is Once Again YouTube’s #1 Song & Music Video In The World This Week

This week’s global YouTube music charts sees Pedro Capó and Farruko’s smash “Calma (Remix)” once again charting as the platform’s top song in the world – returning to #1 on both the “Global Top Music Videos” and “Global Top Songs” charts (amongst tracks from Ariana Grande, Maroon 5, Daddy Yankee, Post Malone, Bad Bunny and more). Today also saw the “Calma (Remix)” video surpass 500 Million views, as it likely speeds toward becoming another of Latin music’s landmark members of the Billion view club in the coming months.
Proudly continuing his family’s musical legacy (as the grandson of the legendary Bobby Capó), Pedro Capó is a Latin GRAMMY® winning singer-songwriter and musician who is quickly becoming Puerto Rico’s next generation hit maker in the island’s tradition of standout pop vocalists such as Ricky Martin (for whom Pedro has written songs), and Luis Fonsi.
With last year’s release of his now trademark single “Calma“, Capó created a welcoming invitation for people the world over to escape the everyday chaos and stress of life with an immersion into the more relaxed beach vibe of his native Island. Soon after release, urban music star Farruko quickly became one of the song’s biggest fans and personally reached out to Pedro about a collaborative remix.  The perfect pairing of likewise relaxed urban beats, with the track’s laidback melody has created a widely embraced global hit that has quickly claimed over 700 Million combined streams, and seen Pedro collect platinum certification in the U.S. Latin market (5x), Mexico (3x) and across multiple Countries in Latin America.
Next up, watch for Pedro to bring the “Calma” vibe direct to audiences with a February 21st appearance on Univision’s Premio Lo Nuestro broadcast, and these upcoming tour dates:
March 23:  Costa Rica
March 27: Teatro Lunario, Mexico City
March 28:  Monterrey, MX
March 31:  Mexico
May 24: The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater
May 25: House of Blues Orlando
