Apex Manor returns to the road this spring for a string of Midwest dates supporting Strand of Oaks, ahead of a new album arriving in 2019! Given their mutual love for ’90s-influenced alternative rock, both bands will be serving up loud yet nuanced songwriting on this double bill that kicks off the first week of May.
In a serendipitous sonic twist, Ross Flournoy (who records as Apex Manor) will also be playing guitar with Strand of Oaks on all of their spring tour dates throughout April and May. “I get the sense Strand of Oaks has a very passionate and devoted fanbase,” states Flournoy, “so it’s gonna be a treat to play for those people every night.”
“I’m really excited to play in this band. I’m kind of a curmudgeon and I think a lot of new music sucks, but from the moment I heard ‘JM’ in 2014, I liked what this guy was doing,” adds Flournoy. “Guitar is my first passion—I started playing when I was 11. And this will be the first time I’ve ever toured where I just have to play guitar, and I think that’ll be a lot fun.”
The first single off Apex Manor’s forthcoming album will be released next month, followed by more tour dates later in the year!
