On Monday, April 22nd, Bad Suns headline Anthology, and I want to make sure the LA band’s on your radar before they bring “sharpened confidence” (LA Times) and a brand new album to fans.
With a resume that already includes touring with The 1975 and Halsey, playing Coachella and Bonnaroo, performing on Kimmel and Conan, and breaking the Top 25 on the Billboard 200, the young group just released Mystic Truth, their first album for Epitaph Records.
The tour thus far has opened “untold depths” (Kerrang!) to the band;
Inspired by a neon-encased Bruce Nauman quote and channeling inspiration from The Blue Nile, Kate Bush, The Cure, and Russian novelist Mikhail Bulgakov, Mystic Truth is their most conceptual, compelling record to date – here’s the music video for single “Away We Go” to preview the “triumph of color, rhythm and light” (Alt Press) they’ll take to the stage
