Jeremie Albino Releases Unplugged Video For “Hard Time”

Rising Americana singer/songwriter Jeremie Albino has just released a new stripped down acoustic video for “Hard Time“.
Of the video’s concept, Jeremie said, “I wanted to try this song stripped down and the idea sort of evolved into this fun performance. I’m inspired by a lot of women and here I got to perform with some of my favourites. Taylor Guitard, Carleigh Aikins and The O’Pears (Lydia Persaud, Meg Contini and Jill Harris). It was a blast to sing in this beautiful space with them stomping, clapping and wailing at me!”
It was announced yesterday that Jeremie will be an official showcasing artist at this year’s Americanafest in Nashville. He’s set to perform at the Anchor Nashville on September 12th. More details to be announced soon. He is set to perform with JD McPherson throughout the summer and will open for St. Paul and The Broken Bones later this fall. Fans in New York can catch a special acoustic performance at Rockwood Music Hall on August 1st. All tour dates and festival appearances can be found below. His wildly impressive debut album, Hard Time, is set for release August 9th on Cinematic Music Group. The album is available for pre-order now.
Trading the booming metropolis of Toronto for Prince Edward County, a decade of country living has given Jeremie the time and space needed to create an album overflowing with heart through vivid storytelling of life and love. Emulating the heroes before him like Lighting Hopkins and Skip JamesJeremie Albino offers a soft and insightful touch with his folk songs, and stomps and swaggers through soulful rock ‘n’ roll. Letting his heart lead the way, the forthcoming album tells vivid stories of “love, life, people, and another time,” as Jeremieexplains. The album’s lead single “Last Night,” which Glide described as “a rock and pop juggernaut that reflects the hearty musicianship of Nathaniel Rateliff and a throwback honkytonk sensibility. Albino appears to be the next in line of emotive band leaders that project soul and directness atop a head turning sound.
