Buffalo Chamber Players present Émigrés
Join the BCP in a program exploring the immigrant and refugee experience. In addition to music by Schoenberg, Stravinsky, and Tansman, the concert features works by composer/musical documentarian Mary Kouyoumdjian and Buffalo’s own Roland E. Martin, with both composers in attendance.
The Buffalo Chamber players also welcome Buffalo String Works to perform on their program. Buffalo String Works is a creative and rigorous music program primarily serving refugee students in Buffalo
The concert includes:
Arnold Schoenberg: Weihnachtsmusik (Christmas Music)
Igor Stravinsky: Three Pieces for String Quartet
Alexandre Tansman: Septet for mixed ensemble
Mary Kouyoumdjian: Children of Conflict: Samar’s Song
Roland E. Martin: Prelude and Elegy
Tickets are $25 general admission/$5 for students, and can be purchased online or in person at the Kleinhans box office.
