“Drunk Girls In Bathroom Lines” latest music and video by Heidi Raye

Could you ask for a more catchy song title than Canadian songstess Heidi Raye’s newest single, “Drunk Girls In Bathroom Lines,” released on Harlan Howard Records? The song is a playful take on how girls interact with each other while waiting for the bathroom in a bar from crying on the floor with other girls trying to soothe, to the girl who loves your shoes and wants to know where you got them. According to Heidi, a lot can happen in the bathroom line. One thing worth noting though is the music bed to her lyrics sounds identical enough to Jesse J’s “Price Tag” that it might invite a lawsuit. But who can blame Reyes for tapping into that contagious beat?

I think everyone has either witnessed or experienced those incredible lines at the girl’s bathroom in any popular drinking spot. For Reyes it was worth writing about.
“If I had a dollar for every time I found myself in a compliment train in a ladies bathroom line,” said Reyes “I’d be a very rich girl! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve asked a stranger what lipstick they’re wearing or what the secret is to getting their hair so perfect, or how many times I’ve been asked where I got my sparkly boots and if I can zip them up. I thought it was something pretty universal for the ladies, so I had to write it! This is my favorite song to play out because of the crowd reaction and participation; they make it so much fun!”

Heidi is currently on tour with her singer/songwriter husband, Johnny Bulford, performing “songwriter round” shows with other guests artists throughout North America.

If you’ve ever heard the title track off Heidi Raye’s EP, “Blame It On The Radio”, released in 2018, you’ll know Reyes’s life seems to come straight out of a country song. Raye describes the country cliche life growing up in a small town in British Columbia with lyrics “I was born and raised on AM waves, rolling down gravel roads, the way I walk and talk ain’t my fault, blame it on the radio.”

Over the years Reye’s has shared the stage with country legends Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Jason Aldean, Reba McEntire and Martina McBride. She also co-wrote NBC’s The Voice Winner, Sundance Head’s fan-favorite hit, “Working On That.” Currently, Raye is touring with singer/songwriter husband, Johnny Bulford, throughout North America.
