The rock band SoleTurn, featuring the new and re-imagined hits they famously deliver, will be on stage Friday night at Angry Buffalo, 2753 Wehrle Dr., Williamsville, from 7 to 10 p.m., outside if weather permits, inside if not.
In addition to their usual menu of crowd-pleasing new and old songs featuring their own special touch, vocal leader Vik Bhargava said SoleTurn will also play a few choice songs from the Oasis album that is currently the buzz in the music crowd everywhere as the famous English rock band has caught fire again.
“They are a great group and they are together again, so it is our pleasure to do a few of their songs as part of our show Friday night at Angry Buffalo, a wonderful venue for us to perform for our fans,” said Bhargava who along with vocalist and bass player Zachary Michael lead SoleTurn which kicked off the season last March with a sold-out show at the legendary Sportsmen’s Tavern and have been going strong ever since.
“We have many irons in the fire right now,” said Bhargava, “including preparing to release our first album in the near future, or early spring. We have put heart and soul into the album and are hoping for a good response when it comes out.”
Most recently, SoleTurn delivered a beautiful two-hour performance at the One Eyed Cat that was performed on an outdoor stage and was very well received by the folks on hand. Their crowd-pleasing music was even appealing to some special guests I invited, mostly my age, who found SoleTurn very good listening. And that’s a generation that rarely turns out for an outdoor show and were glad they did.
So get ready for a night of special music at Angry Buffalo on Friday night, Sept. 6, at Angry Buffalo and you too will be glad you did. I will be there, too, a journalist and big fan of SoleTurn.
