After penning and crafting a series of definitive worldwide smashes, Patrick Romantik recently joined the Sony Music Latin family and formally launches his solo career as an artist by releasing his debut single and video “Cerquita De Mí” (Near To Me).
Surely, you’ve already heard his voice as a writer. His co-writing credits include everything from Enrique Iglesias’s “Duele El Corazón” (#1 in 12 countries) and Becky G’s “Mayores” [feat. Bad Bunny] (1.4 billion-plus YouTube views] to Thalía’s “Lindo Pero Bruto” [feat. Lali] and Prince Royce’s “Adicto” [feat. Marc Anthony], among others. Not only has he generated billions of streams, but he’s also achieved numerous multiplatinum, platinum, and gold certifications.
He draws the spotlight to his own artistry on “Cerquita De Mí.” Illuminating the nuances of his personal and powerful style and sound, he delivers an immediately irresistible anthem. Musically, it unites Peruvian cumbia with danceable rhythms and an uplifting message.
Produced by 36 Grados (Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny) and directed by Mario Barrios, the music video brings the lyrics to life with an idyllic love story.
