Alt 107.7 presents its annual birthday show at the historic Riviera Theatre to an all ages crowd. Headlining the event is Los Angeles dance-pop provocateur Robert DeLong returns from the neon wilderness with his most diverse and beat-driven work yet: “In The Cards.” It is an effort that swirls electronic strains with rock composition and emotive soul. The record’s theme: Is the story of our lives written in the cards or are we free to make our own destinies? DeLong’s crisp vocals soar over a wild soundscape of surging bass, acid washed synth, and jungle percussion. River Run North is an Asian six-piece band performing songs from their new album
“Drinking From a Salt Pond.” Made Violent is a three-piece rock trio and they open the show.
